The Sufganiyah Challenge

If you are having a hard time with The Decathlon I would suggest giving this challenge a try. I am sure that most of you can win this in your sleep.

It has been brought to my attention that there is an on going sufagniyah challenge in the jewish world. The challenge is as follows:

1 Sufganiyah (Jelly Donut) per candle per day. So, on the first day of Chanukah you eat one sufganiyah, the second day two and so on and so forth. If you can do the math it totals 36 sufganiyot in 8 days. Think about that for a second. There are people out there who are eating 36 deep fried jelly donuts in eight days. The more daring competitors have been known to count the shamash as well. That would be 44 total sufganiyot. Wow!

Also, for fun check out how to make donuts below…..

Sit-Ups Rules and Regulations

As per all our events here is the unified way we should all be training for sit-ups. Watch the video below to learn how to do the Decathlon approved push-up. Rivlin you should do the push-ups that the trainer says at the end of the video. You can get ripped by doing them.

The Swiss Sensation is Stiff Competition!

Charles Zolty, a.k.a. The Swiss Sensation, can already do 42 push-ups in a row. Wow! He just moved up in the rankings to 4th place. Check out the image as he drops 42 push-ups on Agudath South’s floor.

Needless to say, Charlie still has some ways to go as you can see his arms may be a little too spread out. Don’t forget to watch the push-up how to video to make sure you are not disqualified from the event.

We are still looking for some more competitors. Please forward this website to your friends and family or anyone who you think may be interested.

Push-Up Rules and Regulations

After much research I found the universal push-up that we all need to train for. Watch the video below. Keep in mind that the judges can disqualify you from the event if the push-ups are done incorrectly.

Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is!

Hey Losers!

Training is coming along for some of us. We currently have six competitors. Here are the athletes in a particular order.

  • Ariel “The Winner” Remer
  • Moishe “Did I just cough up a lung” Eichorn
  • Elchanan “no one is afraid of you” Plonka
  • Charlie “Are Europeans even athletic” Zolty
  • Barry “I didn’t know my legs can go this fast” Nussbaum
  • Benzion “Why did I join” Zlotnick
  • Chaim “If I am in last place can I still get my money back” Rivlin

As you can see there is really no competition and winning this is going to be a breeze for me. I have also decided to put in my $100 as I am confident I will get it back in the summer. If you or anyone you know is interested in joining The Decathlon please contact me at your own convenience. I would love to take more people’s money.

A little trash talking!

As I am the odds on favorite to win The Decathlon because I am an athlete, who do you think are your best bets? Rivlin has the best odds but he is a serious long shot.

Welcome to The Decathlon

Here is the basic principle of how it is going to work.
We train for ten events and we compete against each other over a couple of weeks in the summer. That gives us 6 months to train, workout etc. If you take it seriously you should lose weight and get in really kick ass shape.
Scoring – If we have 10 guys competing then first place finish in an event gives you 10 points. Second place 9 points and so on and so forth. At the end of all ten events the athlete with the most total points wins.

Here are the list of events in no particular order.

1. 10 Kilometer run (we are going to enter the Zareinu moveathon for this event)
2. Push-ups (who can do the most)
3. Sit-ups (who can do the most)
4. 50 yard dash
5. long jump
6. Pull-ups (who can do the most)
7. 200 yard dash
8. jump rope
9. The “120 Stairs” Challenge – (this is my personal favorite – we run up to the 15th floor cut across the hall and go down the other steps, run across the lobby and go back up. We do it 3 times for a total of 45 flights of stairs).
10. Wild Card Event – This event will be voted upon by the participants.

Here is some inspiration for your enjoyment.
